My Recomendations!

Here's my recomendations on some media and people you should check out! Totally not an excuse for me to yap about my hyperfixations :D

Pafbar

Pafbar (He/They) is an artist whose content primarely focuses on art, comics and animations. They're currently working on a series called Harbor City, which I love. The atmosphere and character interactions have this "nostalgic" and "awkward" feel to them, which makes for an comfy and relatable experience in my opinion. Aside from Harbor City, Pafbar sometimes makes art or animations of other franchises like Sam and Max.

If you're interested in Pafbar's creations, which I totally recomend, check out his Link Tree here!

The Big Catch

The Big Catch is an upcoming 3D Platformer Collectathon with an emphasis on tight movement, momentum and catching fish! Although the game isn't out yet, it's demo and prologue, The Big Catch: Tacklebox, is available on Steam for free and it's just amazing! The controls are simple to grasp but hard to master, and every obstacle either requires precision, thinking outside the box or both! Furthermore, despite being considered a demo, I say that the Tacklebox deserves being seen as it's own game, since the demo has multiple areas to explore and collectables to gather. In fact, it took me around 10 Hours to finish it! And don't get me started on the artstyle, just look at this!

The screenshot of the trailer for the game. We see a vast dessert with tall structures seen in the horizon. Close to the camera there's a pound with a tower sprouting on it's right. There's two characters chilling on Sun Loudgers under an Sun Umbrela, watching the view. The graphics have these cartoony/retro feel, following technices from games in the 6th Generations of Consoles without the limitations of the hardware at the time.
Beautiful. Taken from the trailer btw.

Tacklebox quickly became my favorite game, and opened my eyes to an genre I had, for a while, neglected. If you're curious in trying it out, you can get it on Steam for free!

Super Bomb Survival

Super Bomb Survival is a physics based survival game on Roblox where you have to dodge and survive bombs raining from the sky. Although it might be easy to undermind a Roblox game for being made in Roblox, it is honestly one of my favorite videogames of all time, in general, up there with Tacklebox and Dying Light. Why? Well, first off, since it's in Roblox it means that it doesn't even take 1GB of storage to play it, which is fantastic since I don't have a lot of room for games and many games now adays casualy go over 30GB like it's nothing. Secound, the gameplay loop is fun! Each round is about 2 Min and 30 Sec long, but they feel like 4-5 Min most of the time. The cheer chaos of avoiding bombs while traversing a map that's being destroyed by said bombs is so stimulating that there's never a moment that feels "boring". And I gotta love how you feel that in just a bit over 2 min, which is great for someone like me who doesn't have tons of free time.

The ost is also a certified boop, with diferent tracks that play depending on the dificulty of the round, the event that's going on, and so on. Speaking about the ost, I also want to mention Sky's Bomb Survival, a fan game made by one of the composer's, SkyTheFloof. It's also a fun game, with many elements that make it unique from the original. I say if you try Super Bomb Survival and enjoy it, you'll also enjoy Sky's Bomb Survival.

A PrintScreen of the Roblox Game 'Super Bomb Survival'. Valle is ragdooling in a silly pose, his head going through the floor and his legs sprouted upwards. By him is a bear trap and a bomb that's moments from exploding.
Also you can ragdoll (unironicaly my favorite part).
